We are moving quickly along on the next issue of the magazine which will be hitting digital newsstands on April 9th. One of our interns, and master designer, Luis Alvarez is working hard on designing the magazine and although he would never ask for it I think we should give him a little bit of help.
As is always the case, we want to get our readers as involved as possible; this magazine isn’t for us, it’s for you all. Thus, we’re going to come to you from time to time let you decide the fate of certain aspects of our little travel magazine.
They say that you should never judge a book by the cover, but the truth is that when it comes to magazines that is exactly what most people do. Today I have posted two draft image of our cover. I want you to go to our facebook page and help us decide which one we should use by voting for your favourite.
Oh, and just so you know, when we hit 1,000 fans on facebook I’m going to give away all sorts of things including subscriptions, photo prints, and maybe even some more goodies along the way.

Cover 2 with Dubai in Orange like in Cover 1 – i like that contrast
Agreed above, I like the background picture and masthead of cover #2 but prefer the story font on cover #1.

I agree with Liz and Anuj. I like the background pic and masthead of cover #2, but prefer the story font of cover #1 and I also think that Dubai and Magazine should be in the yellow from cover #1.

Seems I have a similar view as others. Love the font for title on 2 but the fonts for story headlines of 1. Either way it will be a great read.

I like Cover 1 with Magazine in green like Cover 2
I think you need to present them all the same size for a true comparison. Cover 1 may get more votes because bigger samples can look more striking on size alone.
