Brendan van Son is an independent travel writer and photographer who, over the past three years, has made travel his career.

Brendan believes that those who walk the sidewalks that life has provided them will only see the world through the same eyes and perspective as the vast majority of people.  He feels that the greatest gift that one can receive is the courage to step off the sidewalks of life to see the world through new and curious eyes.

Brendan has travelled to 6 of the 7 continents including Antarctica.  He has a background in Political Science and Human Geography with specialization in the developing world and civil conflict.  He has spent the past 2+ years in South and Central America discovering everything the region has to offer, both on and “off the sidewalk.”
